TELEMETRY UNIT provides an intermediate level of care for patients who need cardiac monitoring but do not require the high degree of care that the CCU provides. This unit has the capacity for 13 patients to receive care from nurses who are specially trained to administer cardiac medicines, identify irregular heart rhythms and respond quickly and appropriately to the needs of each patient. All of the Telemetry nursing staff have been trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support measures.
