There is no prep for this test.

We cannot scan patients who have pacemakers, some aneurysm clips, and certain heart wave replacements. Please check with Radiology Department before scheduling these patients.

Medical necessity is required for MR of the brain and MRA scans.

Patients who may have any metal in their bodies (such as those who work with sheet metal) should notify technologist prior to exam.

Patient should not wear jewelry, metal hair clips, and leave any unnecessary personal items at home. Patient will be required to empty pockets.
