Conscious Sedation

Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) is actually what is termed conscious sedation and is used along with local anesthetic that is injected directly into the area that is to be operated on. This type of anesthesia can be used for cataract surgery, breast biopsies, or for removal of small cysts.
