Expected Program Outcomes
| To provide educational opportunities needed to graduate students with entry-level employment skills that will enable them to become experienced and skilled technologists. |
In order to accomplish our mission, our goals are to:
- Maintain a 5-year minimum program retention/completion/graduate rate of 65%
- Maintain a 5-year minimum pass rate of 100% of the ARRT registry examination.
- Receive no less than a 100% positive reply from employers of graduates who respond to survey, stating that the graduate they hired was prepared for entry level employment.
- Receive no less than a 100% positive replies yearly from graduates who respond to the survey, stating that they felt prepared for entry level employment upon graduation.
- Maintain a 5 year, 75% rate of graduates actively seeking employment who are employed 6 months post graduation.
In order to accomplish Expected Program Outcomes our Student Learning Outcomes are to:
- Goal: Students will be clinically competent. Students will pass all ARRT required competencies with a grade of 90%. Students will utilize radiation protection for patients, staff and family members. Students will critique images to determine diagnostic quality.
- Goal: Students will demonstrate communication skills. Students will demonstrate written communication skills. Students will demonstrate age-specific oral communication skills.
- Goal: Students will develop critical thinking skills. Students will manipulate technical factors to adapt standard procedures for various non-routine patients. Students will adapt positioning for non-routine patients.
- Goal: Students will model professionalism. Students will demonstrate knowledge of professional ethics. Students will belong to their professional societies and value life-long learning.
