October has been declared "National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month". Hundreds of parents, healthcare professionals and friends across the United States will be participating in a "A Walk to Remember". This walk is dedicated to the babies who die each year through pregnancy loss, still born or neonatal death.
On behalf of the Helping Hands Healing Hearts program and the New Beginnings Birthing Center staff of Wilkes Regional Medical Center, we would like to invite you and your family to come and share in the remembrance of your loved one with a "A Walk to Remember".
Helping Hands/Healing Hearts is a grief support program for parents who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death. This is an ongoing program with grief counselors available to parents and other family members whenever needed.
Annually a "Walk to Remember" is held at the Wilkes Community College Gardens in honor of the families and in memory of their loved ones who have died.
