Volunteer Information web pages. Wilkes Regionals Auxiliary Volunteer Service was established in 1951. Their first duty was to escort more than 4,000 visitors through the new hospital. Our Auxiliary volunteers are very active today and provide a host of needed services from landscaping to department assistance. Wilkes Regional Hospice Department also uses volunteers. The Hospice department has special training to prepare their volunteers to help families who need hospice care. Information on both these volunteer areas are available here. We hope this information will assist you in your decision to become a volunteer in our community and at our hospital. |
