Wilkes Regional Medical Center has received the following awards:
2004 Hospital Quality Alliance Participant – you may review our hospital quality report at www.jcaho.org where we are ranked above most accredited organizations for our care of Pneumonia patients.
For achieving and sustaining 100% on Multiple Quality Measures for Acute MI – awarded by Medical Review of North Carolina in January of 2005.
For the WRMC Skilled Nursing Unit – The WRMC Skilled Nursing Unit qualified for the CareScout’s top performer list after earning an “AAA” state rating and maintaining that rating for a four (4) year historical mark of consecutive “AAA” current state ratings. Of the 16,400 government certified nursing home facilities in the United States, only 151 have received this honor.
By demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization’s national standards for healthcare quality and safety Wilkes Regional Medical Center has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.
WRMC sought accreditation for our organization, including Home Care and the Laboratory because we want to demonstrate our commitment to safety and quality care. We view obtaining Joint Commission accreditation as another step toward excellence.
